“Chicamacomico” aka “Rodanthe” is the closest place on the Eastern Seaboard to the dreaded, swell-sapping continental shelf that often sours the Eastern surf experience. Which pretty much makes this the most ass-kickingly powerful stretch of beach on the coast. Today, Chicamacomico can be translated to “place that is swept” in Croatoan or “sinking down sand” in Algonquin.

Nowadays you won't find a lot of teepees on the sand but the lineup is littered with them.

This Great Breaks image by Daniel Pullen is printed using high definition photographic imaging on white aluminum. The result is an image that radiates with the same energy and power of the ocean as the day it was captured. No expensive framing necessary. Your print comes hang-ready, with mounting hardware already affixed to the image mount. All you need is a hammer, a nail, and a wall to hang them on.
